Leading New England bakery distributor joins Legacy Food Group, expanding the company’s presence in the Northeast and strengthening its specialty distribution platform
Richmond, VA. – July 6, 2026 – Legacy Food Group (“LFG”) announced today that Duva Distributors (“Duva”) has joined the company as its newest operating Division, further expanding Legacy Food Group’s national footprint and strengthening its presence throughout the Northeast.
Originally operating as a small regional bread distributor, the business was acquired by Chris and Maria Duva in 1997. Under their leadership, it grew into one of New England’s premier bakery distribution operations, distributing approximately 30 bakery product lines across five states and serving more than 1,700 active customers. Based in Worcester, Massachusetts, Duva distributes a broad portfolio of fresh bakery products, including breads, rolls, bagels, English muffins, pastries, artisan breads, gluten-free products, and seasonal bakery items. Their customer base spans foodservice distributors, restaurants, retail, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, corporate cafeterias, and other commercial foodservice operations throughout New England.
Chris Duva has led the company through nearly three decades of consistent growth while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service, employee development, and family values. As part of this partnership, Chris will continue to lead the company as its President. Duva will retain its current name and employees while continuing to operate independently within its regional market as an operating Division of Legacy Food Group.
